The fourth issue of The Avenue was released on February 29, 1996. Contents included:

Current News:

The front page starts with stories of the band's 1995 world tour: a look at guest artists, their appearance at "Nudestock", and the change of band members mid-tour. Re-release notes include the "Ladyhawke" soundtrack, and Mobile Fidelity's gold disc version of the "Sound Check" album. Also noted was the relocation of Alan's studio and the Westwood One broadcast.

World Liberty Concert (Part One):

Alan talks about his role as "musical director" at the upcoming World Liberty Concert. He talks about new music they were writing for the show and other preparation work that was required.

Of Note:

In this issue, the "Of Note:" section looks at career updates on:Ambrosia, Gary Brooker, and the "Ladyhawke" soundtrack.

Ian Bairnson interview (Part One):

Ian talks about his childhood and how he wanted to be a guitarist from a young age. In this issue we cover the period from birth, to his first bands, through to the formation of Pilot.

Tales Of...:

In part four of the historical section, Alan looks back at his days with Paul McCartney, how he met Stuart Elliott during a Steve Harley session, and the early days of Pilot.

"Let's Talk About...":

The question and answer section looks at six questions including:

bullet Genesis C.1 V.32 (from "I Robot). The is no V.32 in Genesis Ch.1! The last one is V.31. What is the story behind this mystery?

bullet Where can I get a copy of the "Freudiana" book that Alan Parsons, Eric Woolfson and Brian Brolly wrote?

In this issue, there was only one discography page. The second page was displaced by a special insert to be used with US copies of "The Very Best of Live". The special CD insert had the lyrics to the three new songs, list of vocalists on the album, locations where all live tracks were recorded, and a guide to who's who in the photos on page nine of the regular insert.

Contest prizes in this issue included: the "Ladyhawke" soundtrack on CD, Pilot singles autographed by Ian Bairnson and more items autographed by Alan Parsons!
