I first heard "Tales" while stationed in Japan in the mid seventies. I was hooked immediately. I was always a Poe fan and when I heard "The Raven" and "The System of Dr. Tarr and Professor Feather" I got goose bumps.
A few years later, I believe it was 1978, I got sent to the Philippines for a few years and while there I heard that APP was going to perform in Manila.
I was one of the first people to buy tickets. But it was a sad event when we found out the concert had been cancelled. Naturally, being a lowly Airman, I needed the money, so I returned the tickets for a refund.
I kick myself in the butt every day for not keeping them. I have every thing Alan has been involved with and without really knowing his full involvement with such artists as Pink Floyd and Al Stewart, I enjoy all their music as well.
I have been to four Alan Parsons concerts and plan to see them again in Las Vegas in August 2004.
