The Alan Parsons Experience

Introduced to APP By... Poe

It was the year 1976. I received a gift of a book titled, "The Works Of Edgar Allen Poe", copyright 1927. Many hours were spent discovering Poe's imagination, wit and humor in this work of poems, tales, essays, criticisms and new notes. Hervey Allen, the author of, "Israfel," the Life of Poe, wrote a special biographical introduction. During my indulgence of this publication I found myself at a local music store roaming through albums until I found one which read "Tales of Mystery and Imagination - Edgar Allen Poe", by The Alan Parson's Project. Much excitement swelled inside myself and the time it took to get home to hear it for the first time seemed to take far too long. I was Blown Away! Well I own all of APP works and I just want to say Thank You all for the years of true enjoyment!!
